I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
Well, I became a Britney fan at 7: shortly after Baby On More Time came out. I fell in love with her bubble-gum-pop music. The height of my early Britney fandom came at the release of Oops! I Did It Again. I still remember the day that I ran into the store and went to the music section to buy the cd. I remember how good it felt to hold it in my hands.
Soon after, I went to a concert: part of the Oops! Tour. It was amazing! I had so much fun, and it further secured my love for Britney. However, after that, I slowly stopped caring about her music.
The release of Britney came and went. I didn't notice, nor did I care. After seeing the Slave 4 U video, I concluded that she was a slut, and I shouldn't listen to her music.
All that changed when In the Zone was released. I had matured with Britney's music. I was ready for what she had to offer now.
After that, I stopped caring again. She got married, and didn't release music for a long time.
Fast forward to February 2007. Britney shaves her head.
When I heard this little girl say that, I immediately felt a twinge of worry in the back of my head. Over this past year, I really started caring about Britney. Not just her music, but her as a person. That is why I am a fan: I've been here since the beginning, and I really care about her.
