The X Factor hit a new audience high last night (Saturday) as the competition reached the quarter finals stage.

The latest performances show, which featured the final five contestants taking on the songs of special guest Britney Spears, averaged a mammoth 11.88m (46.1%) between 7.35pm and 9.15pm. The audience is up significantly on the 9.42m (38.5%) who saw the equivalent episode in 2007.

On Sunday, November 30, the world will have a much better sense of what it’s like to be Britney Spears: That’s when “For the Record,” a 90-minute documentary about the singer’s return to the spotlight, produced by Britney in partnership with MTV, airs.

In three new promos for the show, the singer talks a bit about how the life she lives is normal for her, despite how crazy it may look to people on the outside. “Do I know my life is weird?” she asks. “It’s all I’ve ever known.”

The documentary shows the singer’s life through her eyes — a mix of paparazzi flashes, dance rehearsals and photo shoots as she gears up to promote her new album, Circus, which comes out on December 2. In a second promo spot, she laughs, saying, “Complaining is not my style.”

A source close to the Highland Dance Complex In Hollywood has revealed exclusively to BreatheHeavy.com that Britney may perform more than just “Womanizer” during her Good Morning America performance on December 2nd.

As of now, Britney will “definitely” be performing her #1 single “Womanizer,” and plans on performing her second single “Circus” off the new album. But get this, the source says Britney has been rehearsing “Piece Of Me” for the concert as well!

BRITNEY SPEARS has canceled a planned concert performance with MADONNA in Miami so that she can spend the run-up to the Thanksgiving holiday with her kids.

Brit was supposed to make a guest appearance on the final show of the Material Girl’s American tour on November 26.

However, despite rave reviews for their appearance together in Los Angeles, the singer has decided to put her family before her career.

Britney has been granted custody of sons JAYDEN JAMES, two, and SEAN PRESTON, three, for the period leading up to the US holiday – which falls on November 27.

Her current custody arrangement with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE means she has two visitations and one overnight visit with her sons per week.
