A Superior Court commissioner gave Britney Spears' father the power to fire the singer's business manager, according to documents released Friday.

Commissioner Reva Goetz also ordered Howard Grossman to turn over “all documents, records and assets relating to Britney Spears” to James Spears, who is the court-appointed conservator of his daughter and her estate.

The order was released the same day attorneys who have represented Spears in her child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline filed papers to withdraw from that case.

British photographer Adnan Ghalib is set to reveal intimate details about his relationship with Britney Spears on a TV show.

The snapper has been a constant presence by Spears' side in recent weeks before the pair's reported split last weekend.

And now, according to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, the 35-year-old paparazzo has signed a contract with a TV network for an exclusive interview about the time he spent with the troubled star.

A source tells Hilton, "He's getting paid a lot. And his interview will be stretched out over several days."

Britney Spears tried to make peace with her army of paparazzi followers on Saturday when she invited a small group of snappers into her Los Angeles home to party with her.

Four photographers were arrested and charged with reckless driving in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening after a high-speed car chase in pursuit of Spears.

And the troubled singer felt so bad for the snappers, she decided to make it up to them over the weekend.

The paparazzi hound her, judges reprimand her and Dr. Phil offers her advice.

And she's the talk — and worry — of the little Louisiana town she calls home.

"I cry every time I see another story about her on television," said Pam Wright, 44, who works at a convenience store along Kentwood's main drag, U.S. Highway 51. "I think she needs to come home and we'll get her right again. Everybody here loves her. We believe in her."

Dr. Phil is sorry. The TV physician has issued a statement apologizing for his controversial visit with Britney Spears while the singer was in the hospital on January 5, as well as a subsequent press release he issued about the incident.

"Was it helpful to the situation? Regrettably, no. It was not, and I have to acknowledge that, and I do," Phil McGraw told his audience Thursday during an episode of Dr. Phil that will run Monday, according to USA Today. "I definitely think if I had it to do over again, I probably wouldn't make any statement at all. Period."

Four photographers were arrested for reckless driving after a late night car chase of pop star Britney Spears on the outskirts of Los Angeles, police said on Thursday.

Los Angeles police spokeswoman Sara Faden said the four were among a group of paparazzi seen driving at high speed in the Mission Hills area of the city around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday on the trail of the troubled singer.

"Britney Spears was part of the group, but was not driving recklessly," Faden said. She said four men were booked for reckless driving and each ordered to put up $5,000 bail.

Despite Britney Spears' erratic behavior, most people think the troubled pop star should be allowed to see her two sons a few times a week under supervision while ex-husband Kevin Federline retains custody, according to an E-Poll/Reuters survey.
Spears, 26, lost custody of her children last year after a series of strange episodes in the wake of splitting from Federline including being photographed without underwear, shaving her head, and attacking a car with an umbrella.
