My Reviews & Blog
I remember buying this when it was first released in May 2000 and I used to play it again and again. I really don't think it could have been any better and it deserved all of the high sales. 'Where Are You Now' is still one of my favourite Britney songs and all of the videos made for the singles are still great to watch. This album had the perfect combination of edgy pop and ballads, it will always be a classic pop album.
I don't usually pay much attention to remixes, but I always listen to mixes of Britney's tracks as I love hearing them in different versions. My favourite Britney remixes (Overprotected Darkchild Remix , ...Baby One More Time Caf & Saf's DWAD Mix and Everytime Hi-Bias Radio Edit) are not on this album, which is a bit disappointing, but the mixes that are here are good. The Ospina mix of ...Baby One More Time is very good and it's great that a version of 'Someday (I Will Understand)' is on here, as that song isn't on any of Britney's other albums.
Another great album!
This album has some amazing songs that truly belong to Britney and she is the only artist who could have pulled them off. 'Everytime' is my favourite and of course, everyone loves 'Toxic'. I also love 'Shadow' and would like this to have been released as a single.
There are other tracks like 'Outrageous' and 'The Hook Up' that I am less keen on, but the great thing about this album is that it was totally individual and didn't sound like any other music being released at the time it came out. Britney is always pushing boundaries and leading where others follow.
Unlike many artists' greatest hits packages, every single track on this album is a great song and I could play it over and over and never get bored. Everyone should own this CD, as they are bound to enjoy something here, whether it's the early days bubblegum pop of 'Sometimes' or the smooth r'n'b groove of 'Slave 4 U'. The only song missing is 'From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart', I personally think that should have been included instead of 'Outrageous' as that wasn't even a proper single in the end and is one of my least favourite tracks from 'In The Zone'.
My favourite album ever!!!
I love this album! It is my favourite of all Britney's CDs and also my favourite album ever! I love the whole thing from beginning to end. I think Britney was in a really good place when she made this record and it shows. My favourite song is 'I'm Not A Girl..', but I also love 'Overprotected', 'That's Where You Take Me', all of the songs really! Also, the UK edition has two great bonus tracks, 'When I Found You' and 'Before The Goodbye', which are fantastic and should have been included on every edition. This CD is perfect and I still play it all the time!
I am so excited that Britney has released a new album. I love the first single 'Gimme More' and all of the other tracks are sounding just as good. Britney's back and better than ever! I think the only thing missing from the CD is a big ballad, as Britney's voice always sounds amazing when she sings ballads and it would have been great to hear a new one, but apart from that it's a brilliant album of high quality dance/pop. My favourite song is 'Break The Ice'. I hope it goes straight to number 1!!!!

Still playing on my iPod!
When I listen to this album now, I realise how much better it was than all of the other pop music being churned out in the late 90s. Britney's vocal style was original and unique from the word go and she has always known instinctively how to deliver a song. .'..Baby One More Time' is arguably the best pop song ever and other tracks like 'Born To Make You Happy' still sound great. This is a fantastic pop album and was a great introduction to Britney.
