Court Commissioner Scott Gordon has added another fresh headache to embattled pop star Britney Spears’ long list of problems. In an order issued Monday, Gordon asked Britney to pay up $375,000 to ex-husband Kevin Federline as compensation to cover his legal bills in the case involving custody of their children.

In a hearing organized last week, Mark Vincent Kaplan, the lawyer representing Federline, had asked the judge for payment of almost $500,000 as legal fees, prompting Gordon to issue the order.

Lynne Spears has been praising her ex-husband, Jamie, for the way he has been helping out their daughter, Britney, according to a new report.

"Jamie had to change his whole routine," a family friend told People. "Lynne sings his praises. He has been such a rock. He has stepped up to the plate."

One reason Lynne is so pleased with what Jamie has done, is because her ex has managed to surrounded Britney with good influences.

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police say they are looking into allegations that someone drugged Britney Spears but have not decided whether to open a formal investigation.

Police Capt. Kyle Jackon said in a statement Wednesday that the allegations "are being considered" by the Robbery-Homicide unit to determine if laws have been violated.

Jackson says no suspect has been identified.

Spears' mother claimed in recent court papers that the pop star's sometime companion Sam Lutfi drugged Spears and tried to take control of her life. Those claims led to a restraining order against Lutfi.

Being bombarded by paparazzi is nothing new for Britney Spears.

And while she relies on her bodyguards to clear the way for her during her public outings, having her protectors scream in her ears is clearly something the pop star isn't too fond of.

As cameras captured Britney leaving a Los Angeles sushi restaurant on Thursday afternoon, her bodyguard tried to use his words instead of his muscles in an attempt to part the sea of photographers as Brit tried to make it to her car.

"Make a hole! Make a hole!" the large, loud bodyguard keeps yelling.

A source tells us the interview, which hits stands tomorrow, is six pages and is on the record with Jamie Lynn and her mother. She tells the mag that the father is Casey Aldridge, who she has been dating for some time and first met at church. Brit's younger sister, star of Nick's "Zoey 101," says she's keeping the baby.

Sources tell us that she has not yet told her older sister. Well, she knows now.
