    Britney's odyssey presents a life lesson about our culture's tendency to consume its notables, celebrities being present-day equivalent of 'messiahs' in days of old. The star must be aware of this risk and vigilantly devise countervailing strategies.

    The haunted 'deer in the headlights' visage of 'Lady Gaga' appearing on Friday 1/22's ABC-TV '20/20' news magazine segment is a far cry from fresh-faced up-and-coming aspirant pictured in rehearsal studio on cover page of Star-Ledger 'Today' feature story published that day.

    Ms. SJAG must be conscientous about leaving her contrived persona behind at the office (performance venue), maintaining impregnable personal spaces where she can revert to her real self while she 'rides the tiger' of her whirlwind career.

  • South America She Should Go

    Before the tour completely winds up, I'd urge a South American leg. I sense vibrant fan base in major cities on the continent as evidenced by postings on this site, epitomized by 'Kill the Lights' winning music video Argentinian fan submission. Circus format is of universal appeal. Cementing fan support 'south of the border' should be pursued.

    My inner 'ferengi' couldn't miss observation by poster that fan-inspired animation music video for condensed version of 'Kill the Lights' resembled an 'Esurance' commercial. Indeed so! Yet another potential Britney brand extension.
