"BREAK THE ICE" Music Video (Good? or Bad!)
To Be Honest... I think that the "Break the Ice" Video Was terrible
if it was partially annimated it would be an entirely different story...
and on top of that the video had NOTHING to do with the song as it was

I thougt the video was cool and Britney wasn't doing so well at the time remember? maybe that has something 2 do with it. I really loved the video and the song is just one of her best songs on the blackout album

The video was alright but it be better if it had a thought out storyline to it like when daft punk did with there Discovery album~ Not beating a akuma clone o_o

STORY:
Britney wants to destroy her past because she is controlled by other people then... So she goes in "robot city" (she is also a robot in the capsule 'that's the controlled Britney') and decides to destroy that... That's why she puts a bomb on it... to destroy everything that she doesn't want to be... And in the end... It says: to be continued... It means that we haven't seen everything from here... You guys just have to think... And the music is very corresponding with the video... The music, not the words! (Although she breaks the ice of the capsule with the bomb it means she has to start first with that...)
And I think that that video is one of the best that Britney has... Plus the animation is fabulous...

I am not very keen on the video for 'Brerak The Ice' and i am very dissapointed. The music video does not do any justice to the song which is great.
Also the actual video does not seem like it was made for the song, they seem seperate.
Overall BAD!!

Underlying song is sustained sex come-on and video reflects that, winding up with 'evil empire' CEO liaison culminating in 'blast off'. Leading up to that is procession of sexual innuendo imagery (assortment of hungry-eyed pulsating creatures, sperm cell references, etc.)
Among other things, BTI video was intended as James Bond-inspired movie opening, not animated rehash of Toxic ('Coffee, Tea or Me' sexy stewardess satire).
Although video looks 'flat' on computer monitor, would probably be different if reformatted for more vivid high definition wall panel TVs and movie screens (FIFTH time I'm advocating this).
Something was evidently 'lost in translation' as there are numerous images at least referable to the song lyrics but do not appear in tandem with the song track, overall impact of the video thereby being partially assembled jigzaw puzzle. Genre is termed 'music video' for a reason (rather than 'video with music attached as afterthought'). Song reigns supreme because purpose of the video is to market the song, so video imagery should reinforce the song's meaning and/or lyrics whenever possible.
May also be that video was too image-laden, generally. My experience with visual presentations is that typically 'less is more'. 'Over-produced' videos engender 'strobe light effect' (viewer overload). Our brains process audio instantaneously, video takes couple seconds more to absorb and interpret.
