'Blackout' Tops One Million Sales, Added To Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
After several fan-driven purchase weeks for Blackout, one of the best Britney Spears albums to date (IMHO) has finally topped one million in sales! It's true. I know people who know things, and I got official confirmation. It's Britney, bitch. And it's about time.
That's not all! According to MTV.com, Blackout has been added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's music library — it is Britney's only album to have been added to the Hall of Fame archives. In 2010, Rolling Stone said the album may be "the most influential pop album of the past five years."
Blackout has spawned hits such as "Gimme More," "Piece of Me," "Break the Ice" and one of my all-time faves — "Get Naked (I Got A Plan)." The album has also taken home three MTV Video Music Awards, an MTV Europe Music Award and was dubbed "the Album of the Decade" by the 2009 Rolling Stone Magazine Awards.
See? Even when she's not making music at the moment, our Queen is completely killing it. Congrats, B! xx
