"Kill The Lights" Video Review by Eliana Moyano from Argentina (aka Britneli)

I've been following Britney from the beginning, since I first saw "...Baby, One More Time" on MTV 10 years ago. Because I enjoy writing, editing and producing videos, I've always wondered what I would put into a Britney Spears music video, if given the chance. So imagine how excited I was to find Britney.com's Fan Fiction Contest, which allowed Britney fans all over the world to write a story that would potentially be the inspiration for an animated music video!

Before writing my story, I remember looking through the list of Circus songs, trying to pick one to write about. When I saw the song, "Kill The Lights," the idea just hit me! I wanted to come up with a creative way for Britney to get rid of the paparazzi who are constantly following her. So in my story, "Known Everywhere," the paparazzi have the capabilities to go to other planets, in order to follow Britney and get THE million-dollar photo. I wanted to give them a good kick in the ass, but in a funny way.

I was honored to be given the chance to watch a sneak-preview of the "Kill The Lights" video that was inspired by my story. I was so excited and surprised to find that many of the scenes looked exactly the way I pictured them! The coolest thing about it is that the video and images are all in sync with the song... how the characters move, how the lights turn off and on, etc. I really liked that, because that's the same style that I use when producing videos. I also love when Britney vanished; that wasn't part of my story, but I loved it!

Words can't describe how I feel about winning the contest. In fact, I never even imagined being a finalist, let alone winning! I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me, as well as fans I've never met who congratulated me. Finally, I want to thank Jive Records, BRITannica and the rest of the organizers who allowed fans in ALL countries to participate. This brought us all closer to Britney.

I do hope you like it. Think about all the people involved who devoted their time to give us this gift... the director, the editor, the artists, etc. A lot of fans said they didn't like my story and didn't think I should have won; that definitely hurt. People in general can be very sensitive, so I hope that you'll watch the video with an open heart, full of the love you feel for Britney. Enjoy!
