Two Long-Distance Britney Fans Finally Meet In Vegas For 'Piece of Me'
When I found out that long-distance Britney fans @RoarAshley and @MEGABRITNEYFAN had never met and decided to attend "Britney: Piece of Me" together in Vegas, I was so touched, I just had to ask them to write a Britney.com guest blog about their experience... and provide a few tips to members of the Britney Army who plan to see the show! xx
Hi, I’m Lindsey! I’m not your average Britney fan — I’m 45 years old, married and with two children. I’m originally from the UK, but I am now living in the USA. I’ve been a Britney fan since I first saw her on The Mickey Mouse Club. Britney is my guilty pleasure LOL, sorry, not sorry!
Hey, everyone! My name is Ashley, I’m 22 years old (I am a guy; it’s a guy’s name here in the UK!), and I live in the United Kingdom. I’ve been a Britney fan for as long as I can remember and can recall patrolling the living room and annoying my parents and sister by busting the moves and moving my lips in sync to "...Baby One More Time."

We met through social media after our mind-blowing experiences of joining Britney on stage during her Femme Fatale Tour — I was Mr. "Lace and Leather" in Birmingham UK and Lindsey and her daughter danced to “I Wanna Go” in Washington, D.C. We got to chatting about all things Britney and decided to meet after many video chats. When Britney announced the Vegas dates, I really wanted to go but none of my UK friends could afford the trip! Lindsey’s friends are not Britney fans either, so she invited me to the U.S. where we decided to attend two of the Britney: Piece of Me" shows in Vegas. (This is a must, as one "Piece of Me" show is not enough! You can’t take in the full experience in just one night, because being in awe of Britney reduces your ability to absorb the entire show.) The first show came and went so quickly, and we couldn’t wait to go back on Friday, so we could line up early and get a better position right by the stage. We just wanted more (gimme, gimme more)!

When Friday finally arrived, we got to planet Hollywood a few hours before showtime, and we were excited to see that we were fourth in line for the general admission standing. Our dream was to be at the front as close to Britney as possible. We met so many nice Britney fans in line while waiting for the doors to open, looking at each others' photos and reminiscing about Britney and her past performances. And imagine our surprise when Britney's assistant, Felicia Culotta, magically appeared! She couldn’t have been sweeter and happily posed for photos with us. It made our night even more special! Before we knew it, it was time to go in. Security were awesome and very friendly, making sure nobody pushed past us. When we entered the theatre, we were told we could walk to the spot we wanted to stand at. We were front and center, right by the catwalk — our DREAM spot!!! We didn’t drink before or during the show, so we wouldn’t lose our spot. It’s a good idea to get friendly and team up with the fans waiting in line with you, which allows you to use the bathroom and stops people from pushing into your spot.
As the countdown began, there was a buzz in the VIP area as Jessica Alba arrived. We were not interested, as we were only there to see BRITNEY, BITCH! While we were waiting, Britney's bodyguard Edan came out to check the crowd. Lindsey stopped to ask him if he was from Israel; he chatted with us, and OMG, he actually smiled! Who would of thought?! Not only did he talk, but he actually smiled!
Once the countdown ended, the crowd went wild, chanting, "Britney! Britney! Britney!" Then the curtain opened and it was all eyes on Britney, who descended to the stage in her shiny sphere. We nearly died when we heard her live vocals to "Work Bitch," “You want a hot body?”
Throughout the show, Britney performed each song with passion and such energy, it made us feel as if we were seeing Britney in her early 20s. Non-stop action, dancing and crowd interaction throughout the entire performance. How did we wait this long to see this amazing show?! We wanted Britney to notice us, so with constant screams of “We love you, Britney” in our best British accents, we soon got smiles from her and even a wave! We died and went to Godney heaven after being acknowledged by the HOLY SPEARIT.
Up close, Britney looked in amazing shape; it's obvious she’s been working hard at the gym. We also loved the new outfit for “Freakshow/Do Somethin” — so flattering!

My favorite part of the show was “Perfume.” When Britney waved and smiled at me, It was a moment that I’ll never forget. "Perfume" also happens to be one of my favorite songs from Britney Jean, so the performance was very touching.
Lindsey’s favorite part of the show was “Do Somethin'” because the beginning of it is very powerful. We both loved “Me Against The Music” when Britney brought back the old choreography. We also got lots of smiles sent our way!

Overall, we would give the show FIVE STARS. It's a show that any Britney fan cannot miss. The small, intimate setting makes it a very personal experience. We advise fans to purchase General Admission standing tickets and line up early for the best possible experience. "Don’t want the backseat, gotta be first!" We're definitely planning a trip next year to see our Queen again.
