'Till The World Ends' Is A True Club Anthem

Keep calm and dance on: The Holy Spearit has done it again.

Following the smashing success of “Hold It Against Me" — the lead single from her upcoming seventh studio album, Femme Fatale — Britney returned to us last week with the premiere of her second single of the campaign, “Till The World Ends.”

The living legend's latest was graciously upchucked by trash-pop princess Ke$ha, smoothed over with a few slammin' beats by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard, and topped off to perfection by Queen B herself.

As a K$-penned production, it’s only natural that “Till The World Ends” retains the familiar glitter ‘n’ vomit-strewn stench of a typical Ke$ha concoction (note: this is a good thing). Yet as with everything Godney’s ever recorded, she makes it her own. It’s there in the first computerized moan, in the yelping choruses, in the “bay-beh.”

This song is that good ish — sicker than the remix, if you will — crafted in order to elicit a nasty dance move at every twist and turn. This is instantly evident in the maybe-not-so-PG temptation of the song’s first line: “This kitten got your tongue tied in knots, I see,” B purrs. (She’s not that innocent, y’all!) Not to mention the soaring, Earth-shattering pre-chorus: “I can’t take it, take it, take no more!” she cries out just before the song's almighty rallying chants.

Like any proper Ke$ha banger, "Till The World Ends" comes armed and loaded with a massive battle cry ("Whoa-oo-oo-oo-OOH!"). The chanting is truly the meat and potatoes of this mega-production; an instantly catchy moment of arms-aloft revelry simply begging to echo throughout the stadiums of Britney’s upcoming summer tour.

And then there's the bridge, and nothing else matters.

As soon as “See the sunlight, we ain’t stopping…” comes gloriously roaring into the speakers, you best have your Brit Brit rosary and Vanilla Frappuccino-scented Kleenexes clenched firmly betwixt your trembling fingers, because this is truly crying-at-the-discotheque transcendence at its finest.

So yes, the song's good. But more importantly, “Till The World Ends” is special in that it's Britney’s first true club anthem.

Of course we’ve had cuts like “Toxic” and “Gimme More” to make us sweat for years, but there hasn’t been a song so specifically tailored to the clubs, so specifically ready to be soaked in by the drunks lining the dance floor worldwide as there is with “Till The World Ends.”

With its fist pump-friendly chants and mercilessly stomping beat, Brit’s latest offering is about as universal of a club anthem one can possibly get — worthy of being spun from the bro-iest frat parties to the campiest queer bars in downtown West Hollywood — and is guaranteed to keep the Femme Fatale throbbing from the speakers of every club across the world for years to come.

Todays performance on GMA was awful. I think she was not prepared. She needs to fire her choreographer and hire a better one, or did she do her own choreography? Maybe thats why it looked so bad. My high school dance troop did better than that. Bad performance. She also needs to work out.

I am neither a Britney hater or a fan, but I did LOVE her music when she just started out. I loved her dance moves, and you can tell that she truly was a dancer and not just a singer trying to dance, but looking at her performances for her Femme Fatale album, they are totally lacking in everything. Britney WHAT happened? You hardly even move, you stay in one spot and seem like you don't LOVE what you do anymore. Britney you can either continue to do what you loved to do or just stop this career, because it just doesn't show any enthusiasm, and I would say this regardless if it was Britney or not. I feel bad for all that she has gone through, but pick yourself back up girl and do your thang! You were great at it and lacked nothing, you got the crowd going, were a GREAT performer. Brit get up and show the world what you're made of!
