YOUR Take on "Womanizer"

Thank you SO much for all of your awesome “Womanizer” interpretations! I especially liked this one from Loscabos:

My Thoughts on “Womanizer”
It’s obvious that Britney’s talking about someone who tried to come on to her or date her—this song is her way of telling the guy to shove off, that she knows exactly what he is (via the Chorus).

In the first verse, where she says, "Baby, you got all the puppets with their strings up; Fakin' like a good one, but I call 'em like I see 'em," she’s saying that there may be plenty of women out there who fall for his tricks, but she’s not — she's too smart for that.

In the "Daddy-O" verse, Brit’s talking about how this guy is arrogant, and that he only acts this way because he’s insecure. And in "Lollipop," we hear our girl telling him that she won’t fall for it or be another victim. Again, she’s smarter than that. I think the "Different world" verse is very self-explanatory.

My take on this whole song is that when Britney sings it, she is likely thinking about a man (or men) who tried to take advantage of her, hoping to date her and get publicity… but that she knows better!

The comments of those guys are so right, I agree in everything they said. "Womanizer" is just amazing and the sucess proofs it! Britney is not a "Womanizer" obviously but she def. is a "Worldizer". Bow To the queen.

to me a womanizer is someone who takes pride in degrading women, someone who goes out of there way to cause pain to the women their with . i think that in this song britney is describing a man who has a lot of charisma and can usally get attention and affection from anyone they choose. A lot of women are looking for love so some women will fall for this type of guy over and over again . I feel like what Britney is trying to say is shes fell for this type before ( which im sure we all have.. its hard not to!! ) but she can see right threw them now and she would never doing it again. I think that the song is hot! I can't wait to dance to it when I go out! However, I would like to hear something besides a repeated word (Womanizer) on one of her new tracks. Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but "Gimme More" had a lot of the same kind of repetitious lyrics too. I know she will deliver though. I LOVE this new track! It's upbeat, catchy and totally Britney!!

I have to say I am still disappointed that "'Toy Soldier"' and "'Get Naked"' wasn't released--great songs.

Blackout was an AWESOME CD...some of her best work.

Just love it!

I think its about Kevin Federline and how even when they were together he was out and about with other woman and that she knows that and he hasn't changed his ways. Although it can be looked by justin as that he cant keep a woman and as ive heard he keeps telling her he wants her back and her responce is womanizer and that she knows she better than them and deserves better.

Can just see it now as the new girl anthem and instant pick me up...

Its a perfect song to match the title 'circus' bet the rest of the tracks will be about her life. Think this album will be the most reflective of her life and that will be what makes it so great. Think its just gonna be 'i'm gonna show you album'

For all of what britneys been through it has only seemed to make her better then ever and made her tracks so addictive. Without her experiences she wouldn't be who she is today.

I absolutely love the style of this song, it doesnt take you long to know that Britney is back, especially with all those tonge twisting sentences, I've tried singing along, but its quite difficult.

Womanizer is her worst single since Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman. Lets hope the album has a few good tracks on it and Womanizer is the only mistake. The song's beat is bland, the hook is way to repetitive, and over all the song sounds like something Disney would produce for one of it's Channel's stars. I expect something amazing from Britney, and this song is not even good enough to be filler. It's a horrible song with a cheap sounding hook. The song is completely elementary. Better luck next time.

I love "Womanizer" and I really think she is back this year, and alot of people seem to think that this song sounds a lot like "Gimme More" just because she repeats herself a lot in the chorus, but honestly what artist doesn't repeat themselves in the chorus now a days? I think the song sounds more like "Ooh Ooh Baby". Anyway, I kind of think this song is talking about K-Fed in a way she is making fun of him and saying how can you treat me this way and treat me like I was born yesterday. (Or at least that is what I get from it.)
