Hey Guys:
A lot of you have written in to say you're pretty P.O.'ed about the new Billboard policy, but here's my take on the whole matter:
No. 1 is a state of mind. I know Britney's No. 1. You know she's No. 1. Therefore, Britney's No. 1.
End of story.
Heads high, music blaring, blow it off and shake your rump. Cuz' that's what Brit would do!

Billboard wasn't playing fair..
Billboard should include other retailers beside Wal mart. for example digtal sales and other artist should have made deals with retailers also.
I'm also dispointed that they never clearly ANNOUNCEMENT before hand that they were going to change the rules.
However,
clearly all her true fans like myself consider her number one anyways,
the Eagles are good ,but their don't have many young people like britney does.
You'd think she should have been number one for that reason and because this album is the BEST COMEBACK ALBUM EVER!!
I'm hate to wonder if they did it because they didn't want her to be number one due to her personal life?
or did they just deside to include Wal Mart because they made some kind of deal before hand then deside to do it without making any kind of announcement untill it was already a done deal.?
why did they just add Wal Mart as new retailers without including all the other ones that they don't have because of the old rules?
well i would like to anyone to add to this , if i have missed any other information...

I don't really get how this whole thing goes, but I think that if they count the albums sold by one retailer, they should count the albums sold in the Internet as well, and that way, Brit will clearly be #1 I think. And anyway, I think she is, no matter what that chart sais,her album is #1. And I think is a bit weird that they changed that way, so quickly, I don't know, but it kinda gets me a bit mad. Anyway, those are just numbers

Unprofessional
Billboard policy change was very unprofessional and i doubt Britney fans are the only ones ticked off by it. If they were to make this change fair they should have included digital album sales. Britney's audience is much younger and would most likely download the album instead of purchasing it in store. I'm pretty sure that if digital sales were included in her sales figures she would have outsold the eagles. Britney deserved this #1 and she is still #1 as far as i'm concerned.

Totally agree with you. She is always No.1 in my eyes, no pathetic policy is ever going to change that. Britney is a strong, powerful individual and I think she is truly amazing. However, I do believe that Britney deserves better than that. How dare they change the policy. I mean, they knew Britney was going to get that No.1 spot. I feel like she has been cheated after she has worked so hard to put such an amazing album together after such a difficult period in her life. They need to show her some respect, but like I have stated she is always No.1 in my eyes. She is the best and no policy is ever going to change that.
Keep on going Britney. You are better than these people. You have proven to be the best and you are the best, no matter what anyone says. You will always be my idol forever. Love you with all my heart. X

For so many years they haven't changed anything. And yesterday WITHOUT ANY ANNOUNCEMENT, FROM DAY TO DAY, SUDDENLY they did it. This is NOT a good way of making a decision!!!
my opinion thingy.....
we know she is truly number one, i'd be fine with this if they hadn't gotten our hopes up all week and at the very last moment they decide to chage their policy, that's what really pissed me off.....not to sounds paraniod...but i think this was all doe on purpose, there are some sick cruel people out there whose only mission in life is to make britney's and our [her fans] lives miserable....just when things are starting to even out and look like their going for the better.....bam....it all falls to pieces because of some stupid thing.....and what makes me more upset is that imo this album is britney's best and it deserves to be number one......idk how to feel....
anyhoo ima go listen to blackout for like the 20th time today, it'll make me feel better =]

It doesn't matter what billboard or what anyone says. And besides #2 is a pretty respectable spot. There are alot of artists that don't even make it to the top 5! Considering all the bad press Britney has gotten this year; she did really well to make it to #2 and we should all be happy about that and celebrate that instead of being pissed because she didn't land at #1. I bet that Britney is s***ting herself because she landed at #2 because thats still an awesome place to be on billboard! So lets rejoice in her victory and not worry about Billboard!
