So. I've watched the video for Radar a few more times and it's grown on me. I still wish it wasn't included on the Circus round of singles, but that can't be changed. Someone somewhere posted that Britney's Wikipedia account listed Shattered Glass as being the next single to be released. I know you can't take anything posted on Wikipedia without a grain of salt, since anyone can change anything on there. However. This, in a word, would rock. I really like that song, and if she's not going to release Unusual U (my first pick for the next single) then Shattered Glass would be my fallback.

Here's my full length concept for a Shattered Glass video. My 250 word version was a finalist for the fan fiction contest, but it didn't do the video in my head justice.

Shattered Glass

(Opening melodies….)

A guy is seen sitting on the floor of a black room, surrounded by mirrors. His hands are bound behind him and he’s blindfolded. He lifts his head as if he’s suddenly been awakened as the lyrics start:

“Did I wake you? Were you sleeping?”…….

He turns his head, trying to find the speaker but her voice is everywhere. She’s (Britney) suddenly behind him (wearing a tight black, glittery outfit, fishnets and knee high black boots), and she cuts his bonds…

“Poor baby are you feeling guilty for what you did”…..He scrambles away from her.

“If you think you’re hurting you ain’t seen nothing yet.”

He’s up and running through a maze of mirrors, like a House of Mirrors at a carnival. She is everywhere: ahead of him, behind him, all around him as he runs, trying to find a way out and away from her.

“Was she everything…..” as images of him and the “other woman” flash on the walls around him as he continues trying to get away.

“You can’t come back”….a picture of him and Britney flashes ahead of him…“Cause all we had is broken like shattered glass.” The picture of them explodes and he covers his face, then starts running again.

“You’re gonna see me in your dreams tonight. My face is gonna haunt you all the time” Many images of her flashes around him: happy Britneys, sad Britneys, laughing Britneys, all around.

“When your world falls apart like shattered glass” and the ground beneath him falls away, plummeting him into the blackness below.

He lands on a round bed covered in black sheets. She’s suddenly there, now wearing a blood-red corset with fishnets and red heels. She climbs up to straddle him and toy with him as the song continues.

“I bet you realize that she ain’t half the woman I am”…he gets away and makes a break for a door, which leads to yet another mirrored hallway. She follows at a leisurely, strutting-to-the-beat sort of pace, as the chorus replays. She’s everywhere around him. He turns a corner and she’s there in the flesh. She grabs him.

“I hope you know that you can’t come back ‘cause all we had is broken like shattered glass” and she pushes him through a glass wall, which shatters around him. He screams…..

….and wakes up in a brightly lit room, laying next to the “other woman”, who is asleep. Sunlight streams through the windows of the bedroom. He relaxes back down. Through one of the windows we can see Britney standing on the sidewalk, looking up at the window. She turns away with a smirk on her face and walks away.
