Last month, the news came out about Jamie Lynn Spears being pregnant at age 16. This is absolutely pitiful and atrocious. First of all, what was she thinking? She's a 16-year-old girl with a popular television show on Nickelodeon. What example is she setting for all of her adoring young fans?
One of irresponsibility and cheapness, in my opinion.

I believe in saving oneself until marriage, or at least until you and your partner are adults who are both absolutely sure of your love for each other.

Jamie Lynn is only 16. She's still a child. Children, even teenagers, don't need to be having sex. Losing your virginity is like losing the last bit of your childhood and should be left until adulthood, when a person is mentally, emotionally and morally capable of making drastic decisions on his or her own.

The fact that Jamie Lynn is pregnant not only provides further embarrassment to the Spears family – after all that has been happening with Britney, of course – but it's sending the message to young girls all over that sex at a much-too-early age is OK.

And not just sex, but sex without protection and with an adult. Jamie Lynn is a minor who had sex with an 18-year-old man. That's illegal, or at least it was the last time I checked the local laws. Her boyfriend should be sent to jail, or at least kicked out of his and the Spears' households forever.

Being a fellow teenager, I'm ashamed of what has become of Jamie Lynn. Not that I liked her before I knew she was pregnant, but at least I respected her. I feel sorry for her family, and for all the young girls out there who have looked up to her and now no longer know what to think.

Do young tweens really need to be idolizing someone who doesn't practice safe sex, and does so with an adult? I think not. Jamie Lynn, you need to get your act together.

Britney Spears reportedly yelled that she was "too hot" for clothes and refused to dress up for the police during the bathroom standoff with her son last week.

Contactmusic.com reports that Spears had to be taken to a hospital after her apparent breakdown. The police involved in the standoff are revealing more of what happened about how they asked Spears to hand over her son because her visitation time was over.

Spears apparently spent three hours locked in the bathroom of her home with her youngest son. When she finally handed over her son, she was wearing nothing but her underwear and refused to put on anything but a see-through dress.

When the police tried to cover her she yelled, "Don't cover me up. I'm hot." Spears was apparently muttering something incoherent saying, "What are you doing in my house?" and "I don't need your help" at the authorities.
