BIG congrats goes out to Britney.com user Britneli from Argentina for winning our Britney Global Fan Fiction Contest! Her story, "Known Everywhere," was inspired by one of my favorite songs off of Circus, "Kill The Lights." Of the 36 finalists, "Known Everywhere" was given the highest rating by you guys and will be made into an animated music video! What details would you like to see in the video, based on Britneli's story? Be sure to post your comments! Personally, I think Britney's rocket should be hot pink with gold stars. Just my two cents! Oh, and to clear up any confusion... this isn't an official Britney Spears video, as the 4th Circus single hasn't been announced yet!

I've given my congratulations to Britneli, and I truly mean it. I wish this author all the luck in the world if writing is part of a future they are looking into having. I too am wanting to make writing a permanent part of my life as it already has been for as long as I can remember.

In my honest opinion, this story was no where near winning material.
From what I understand, it was the amount of votes or ranks from this sites members that determined the winner, and if this is true then someone must've been ranking this religiously because the "creativity" in this story was lacking, well, creativity.
I don't want to undermine the people who thoroughly enjoyed it, or the authors creative abilities, but I do believe that I am entitled to my opinion and with that power I am only offering my judgement. No holds barred. This "story" was terrible. Not only did I need to read each sentence five times to figure out what was trying to be said(and I understand the writer is not American, but in that case English should not have been the language used), but when I finally figured out what was being said I felt like I was reading something a five year old came up with. I understand that being realistic was not a requirement, but the human mind is capable of producing imanginative things much more interesting than this.
Over all, I was disappointed with countless entries, but this one would not in a million years be considered the best. Sorry.
I regret not entering this contest. But, rest assured, once my laptop has been repaired, I will be entering every creative contest BRITannica throws at us
All criticism aside, Britneli, congratulations. And please, do not take what I said negatively or with a grain of salt.

I understand your postition, too. It's hard when you don't have a direct answer to why something happened. But, I have a question for you:
What if you never get an explanation from those involved in the organization of the contest? They aren't obligated to personally explain any part of the process to any of us, and I didn't even enter the contest! There will be plenty of other opportunities through this site, and you better your chances of future successes by not needing an explanation.
I really enjoyed your idea, by the way! It was definately at the top of my list! I thought the introduction set the mood of the song very well. However (and, maybe if you read my criticism correctly, this will help you will your explanation), the song itself isn't as in as high of demand as "Kill the Lights." Trust me, I love them both. But, if you need numerical evidence of this, just check out the frontpage poll that has gathered some 35,000 votes.
Also, not everyone is framiliar with the Candyman legend. And, because there are some pretty specific details echoed in the movie version and your version, there may have had to be legal rights permissions and other headaches for your video to come to life. It's not an impossible idea, but maybe it's not as practical or "open to suggestion" as Britneli's.
I'm really glad you entered the contest. I'm even glad you're passionate about your work. I'll be your biggest cheerleader, too!
