"3" Music Video Review

"3" Music Video Review by Jamie McAfee, Jay Loves It Entertainment Blogger

1, 2, 3... making a music video for “3,” was as easy as can be, when you’ve got Britney!

For starters, the heart-stopping, jaw-dropping Britney videos go well beyond that of “3.” Historically over the last 11 years, Britney has been the one to beat when it comes to music vids. I should know — I first laid eyes on Brit when she opened for *N Sync back in 1998 and have been a fan ever since. For me, she truly is THE living legend.

So many artists have been inspired by Britney, and rightfully so! Well, let's be honest — everyone has a little Britney in them. She brings it all: The sweet, the innocent, the sex kitten, the empowered woman who rules the world... plain and simple, she's the best! Would you call her a video vixen? I would. If anyone is the Music Video Queen, it’s her. Who else can take you from school to space, from the beach to center ring?

As for "3," the video opens with the classic Britney beauty shot — B getting glammed up, ready to have some fun. If dancing was what we wanted (yes, please), dancing was what we got! Britney most certainly gets down, signature shimmy and all! In my opinion, the best part is the pole scene. That shot is fierce and the confidence expressed by Brit is something that as fans, we all love to see. Not to mention that the white leotard is hot! I don’t know about you, but this video definitely makes me want to go out and mingle with a few people... and by mingle, I mean DANCE!

Frankly, this video does a good job of wrapping up the past six eras into one — going hand-in-hand with the upcoming release of The Singles Collection album. But the video also opens the door for a new Britney. And I can’t wait to see what the future Britney has up her sleeve. I can only hope there will be fierce fashion with moves to match, along with Miss B's quirky personality that we all know and love. The “3” video definitely did not exclude that — the sunglasses B rocks in the pole scene was all her, and I love that.

Needless to say, this video leads me to scream out with joy, "BRING IT ON, BRITNEY!!!"
