BLACKOUT is arguably the best studio album of Britney's career, as well as the year of 2007. Here is a track by track review of Britney's new album.
1. "Gimme More" - Awsome song! This was the perfect comeback single. "It's Britney, b****." The repetative chorus is actually pretty cool. Growning "more" in high and low pitches = hotness. (5/5)
2. "Piece of Me" - A bit monotinous, but overall pretty sweet. (4.5/5)
3. "Radar" - A catchy, mediocre track. Not a highlight track off the album, but good, nonetheless. (4/5)
4. "Break the Ice" - This is "hot, hot, hot, hot." Fun, catchy melody. Would make a great single! (5/5)
5. "Heaven On Earth" - One of the weaker songs off of the album, and that ain't sayng that it's bad. It's a good Donna Summer-esq sounding track. The song's verses are kind of weak. The layered parts of the song are a bit odd. The chorus though is hot. "Your...your...your..." is a bit irritating after a while, though. (3.5/5)
6. "Get Naked (I Got a Plan)" - The weakest track on the album. There just isn't enough Britney on this track. It's like "shut up, Danja! We'd rather hear Brit's voice." Unlike the repetative lyrics of "Gimme More," hearing "Get naked, get naked, get naked,..." and "Take it off, take it off, take it off..." gets rather irritating. It's still a good dance song, but you got to be in the right mood for this song to sound hot. (3.5/5)
7. "Freakshow" - HOTNESS! I love the electronic sound of this track. It really makes you want to just get up and act all "freaky, freaky." Put this track to the "Gimme More" video, and that video looks hot! (5/5)
8. "Toy Soldier" - The best song on the album! This song is too hot to even describe...the high-pitched screached at the start of the chorus gives me chills. It is so sexy and catchy. This is definitly on par with "Toxic." (5/5)
9. "Hot As Ice" - This is a fun song. It's a bit more of a relaxed dance track. So much fun to listen to. (4.5/5)
10."Ooh Ooh Baby" - The Spanish guitar is so hot in this song. Catchy, sexy, fun, dancable, PERFECTION! (5/5)
11."Perfect Lover" - If it weren't for the amazingly hot bridge, I would skip this track. (3.5/5)
12."Why Should I Be Sad" - Nice insight into the life of Miss Spears. Heart-breaking and empowering at the same time. (4.5/5)
