Fan Video Concept: If U Seek Amy

Scenes: Dance club, mansion, locked room, swimming pool

-Music off-

Britney is seen searching for something — or someone — in the middle of a crowded dance club. A cute stranger at the bar says to Britney, "Looking for Amy?"

-The song starts ("La, la, la...") and progressively gets louder-

VERSE ONE: Britney starts singing to the stranger, "Oh baby, baby, have you seen Amy tonight?" Cuts to a bathroom scene ("Is she in the bathroom?") where Brit flings open the stall to find a couple making out. Then cuts to Brit looking out the window ("Is she smokin' up outside?") to see a bunch of drunk guys fighting. Throughout the verse, Britney continues her search at the club for "Amy," only to get more and more discouraged.

CHORUS ("Love me, hate me..."): Cut to a dark room where Brit and her crew are dancing and sweaty (similar to "I'm a Slave 4 U.") Before the second verse starts, cut to a quiet, locked room where you see a blonde woman tied down to a chair. You can't see her face; only her back.

VERSE TWO ("Amy told me that she's gonna meet me up..."): Britney and her crew are inside a huge mansion with a red-carpeted staircase. Everyone's laughing, having a good time. Cut to the club ("...and they're closin' up the club, oh!"), where Britney spots Amy and starts to run after her. Amy arrives at the mansion to find everyone having fun, and (club) Britney catches up to her.

CHORUS ("Love me, hate me..."): Cuts back to sweaty Britney and her dancers. Suddenly, Britney and Amy are standing face-to-face ("Oh, say what you want about me..."), and it is revealed that they are essentially the same person. But something is wrong; Amy is crying. Britney realizes she must hide Amy, so she takes her to a room upstairs, ties her to a chair and locks the door.

VERSE THREE ("So tell me if you see her..."): The song slows down and the scene cuts to a swimming pool. Amy is seen falling backwards into the water in slow motion. The pace of the song then quickens and (club) Britney dives into the pool to save Amy.

CHORUS ("Love me, hate me..."): Cut to Britney and her crew dancing in the mansion, trying to break into the locked room. They break the door down and suddenly it's just (club) Britney, seen leaning down to almost kiss Amy. Before their lips touch, Amy disappears and is sucked into Britney's body.

Conclusion: Britney and Amy were the same person all along, and Britney was actually protecting herself the whole time, and not Amy.

I noticed that she was having expressions on her face that she was wondering if she was Amy, and it let me realize that she was!
But then i thought Hey! This is a video about her when she was acting as if she had multple personalities.
We don't know if Brittney really has mutiple personalities, but the vidieo let us know that it is possible that she may and is making fun at herself to keep us wondering if she really does!
To sell more and get respect that she can put herself together and still make it work for her, and her fans!

Nothing against lesbians, they're cool but you wouldn't want britney to be another one of those people that to save there careers in music or acting have to do a lesbian scene (like Grey's Anatomy, look at their ratings now!). She already kissed Madonna and that was a shocker but this is lame especially if she gets sucked into her body at the end. Plus we all know what Britney is trying to say with "if U seek amy" when she sings it.

Very creative! I agree, totally britney material! I like the beginning how the la,la,la, kicks in after the stranger asks the question, and the part where she finds Amy and decides to hide her!!! Best parts!!! Although i did not like the kissing part. Reminds me of "Me against the music" I think that will only cause gossip against britney and magazines will say that her video is about lesbians....I really hope that the real video is something like this BUT without the kissing part. But overall.....GREAT JOB!!!!!!! (Two-thumbs up!!!)

I hate the fact that parents and critics are campaigning against this song, i dont understand, if the parents didnt say the song was controversial then maybe people wouldnt judge the song so much in the first place. It is about A GIRL CALLED AMY!!!
it is provocative song that makes britney and her fans feel good, the song is up-beat and is unique to what is on the market at the moment.
Her label wouldnt let the song even be put on her album if it was controversial, so PLEASE! Support the song in the charts and think positive... their is so much things happening in the world and all these people think about is ruining other peoples fun all the time.

Well, my title explains everything. I think if you don't focus SO MUCH on the If You Seek Amy part then you'd see the actual meaning behind the whole song. Songs NEED an interesting title. I mean, its not like she actually spelt it though it is a LITTLE bit vulgar.
I love the video concept, its really interesting. I actually stopped the music and read it.
Usually, I like listening to music AND listening to stuff at the same time but this time I actually stopped it.
