Rumors have been swirling these last several days as to whether or not Britney would appear in a video for Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet" world tour. In a statement to Access Hollywood, Larry Rudolph CONFIRMED the news saying: "Britney's doing a video piece this week for Madonna's new tour."
The cameo will reportedly be shot in New York some time this week.
Time to take back your crown, Britney!
The clip has already been filmed according to an update by Access Hollywood: "The duo filmed a portion of the video Sunday that will be used during the concert, a rep for Madonna said. "Britney shot some footage with Madonna yesterday that will be used during Madonna's upcoming tour," the Material Mom's rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed to Access." As for a surprise appearance by Brit on stage alongside Madonna, fans should not hold their breath, according the rep. "I do not believe that Britney will be appearing live on the tour," she added.

Britney Spears to go Insane in Madonna Video
Tuesday July 8, 2008 - Britney Spears filmed a claustrophobic elevator scene in Santa Monica Wednesday to be used on Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour, a source confirms to Usmagazine.com.
"She [was] shot in the elevator that is surrounded by seven cameras," a source tells Us.
"Britney walks into the elevator wearing a black hoodie, and you can't see it's her at first," the source adds. "As the elevator goes up, it becomes clear it's Britney and she's anxious and nervous."
Realizing she can't get out, she "starts to kick the wall and hit things," the source adds. "At one point she screams into the camera."
Her parting shot? Spears, 26, takes off her hoodie, looks straight into the camera and says her infamous lyric: "It's Britney, b-tch!"
Spears – sporting long, platinum blonde hair – arrived at The Lots in Santa Monica at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning to record her part.
On Monday, Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg confirmed Spears would be virtually reuniting with Madonna – whom she famously kissed at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
Another source close to Madonna, 49, told Us she "specifically asked to work with Britney again."
Madonna's tour launches August 23 in Wales.
