Joel here...
I got the Guitar Hero game and was sucked in and mastered the game.
It made me interested in playing the guitar for "real"

I found this website and tried out the free lessons and trial and got hooked.
The site is great and the live teacher support is awesome.

I still like the Guitar Hero game, but there is nothing like playing my real Les Paul Guitar.
