BRITannica's Thoughts on Saturday's Show

For those of you who weren't 'following me' during the show: It. Was. Amazing. Flawless, even. Britney's moves were sharp, and she looked genuinely happy to be performing!!! It's obvious that she loves putting on a show and was comfortable onstage — she gave shout-outs to New Jersey multiple times throughout the show. The amazing dancers, special effects and elaborate props only added to the awesome spectacle — everyone must attend Britney's Circus, 'cause it's MORE than worth every penny. I'm saying this as a true Britney fan of 10 years, not as someone affiliated with Jive. The masterminds (Britney and her team, the choreographers, the stage crew, stylist, etc.) behind this show deserve a hee-uge JOB WELL DONE, GUYS! The Circus seriously blew my mind. I love the show i went tothe circus show here in atlanta on march 5 and I was excited and scream my brains out until the played that Manson song he cool and all but no maam she ridiculously needs to change it but my most favorite performance was undeniably Breath on me Oh the frame and her landing right in front of me i felt blessed

MARIANAXZC, your true colors are showing and I'm sorry for thinking you were arguing my point with an open mind.
Marilyn Manson is in NO way, shape or form associated with the occult. He simply speaks and performs freely. Obviously I am not a very "religious" person, so I no longer have a place in this conversation. You're right in terms that we are all entitled to our own particular views, but my views are coming from ME. Not coming from organized belief.
I'm done with this conversation. And please, DO NOT start preaching. I've surpassed the point of no return and am pretty stubborn when it comes to following what I PERSONALLY see as what's right and what's wrong.

And if you are a "woman" and not a "girl" then great. That's just all the more reason to be mature and learn something about what you are commenting about. It's great that you support Britney, I support her as well in ANYTHING she does which is why I approve of the Manson interlude.
And BRITannica said that she agreed with me in the sense that it was a great addition to the show.
You said that you agreed with her, then proceeded to say Britney should not use the song.

Personally, I'm not a huuuge Marilyn Manson fan (though I like his 'Sweet Dreams' cover), but I agree with what you said. I thought it was a cool addition to the show! xx♥
*** sweet dreams interlude - a step forward ***
I personally am not only amazed at the fact that Marilyn Manson's cover of "Sweet Dreams" was used rather than the original Eurythmics version, but I applaud the choice to venture beyond the "Pop" zone that Britney's been tied to.
I may be speaking from a bias standpoint seeing as how I happen to worship both Manson and Britney, but regardless, using this version of the song isn't only entertaining us with a darker side of our pop princess, but it's showing that "Pop" isn't the only genre out there. It's exposing a whole new side of music to this generation limited to what's on MTV.
Now, I'm going to step backward a bit and repeat that I am a hugely obsessed fan of Marilyn Manson as well, and Mister walesjames who commented below me, Marilyn Manson's music is rather enlightening. You would know this if you took the time to read over some of his lyrics. After PROPERLY interpreting them(and I say "properly" because the majority of people no longer see the pages beneath the cover and love to judge without knowing the meaning), you would come to realize that 75% of the "music" children are being exposed to these days send across a more demeaning and degrading message than Manson could ever dream of doing.
Take the song at hand for example, "Sweet Dreams" is NOT talking about literal abuse. Glance a little deeper and you'll find the meaning. It's NOT hidden, just disguised by creativity.

You are not a true Britney fan, if you were, you wouldn't be saying stuff like this. Britney has worked hard on every album, every video, every tour, every song, etc... Britney has gone through so much, she performs for her fans because it is what makes her happy, and it makes us happy. Britney is a beautiful person, and performer, she is not a little girl any more, she is a beautiful woman. Give her time, to get back in her groove, and you will see Britney Spears greater than ever, in the meen time, give her all the love and support that you can. Please do not sell your Britney collection. It would be a mistake. Are you saying that none of her other tours were not sexy? How about her slave 4 u video, and her live performances, looked sexy to me.

I was at the "infamous" Tampa show in section 328 and loved every second of the circus experience even though we were miles away it felt. It truly is a feast for the eyes and anyone from 1 to 101 years old will love it, too!! I have general admission floor seats to the DC show on the 24th, so I will definitely be snapping away on my new camera to bring you guys all the goodness that is to come! Hey BRITannica..I have a bunch of pics of me in my ringleader costume with all my friends glammed up at the concert, some shots of Brit, and us with Derrick Barry at the afterparty in Ybor City..where do i put them up?!

Sweet Dreams Interlude - Rare Misstep
Britney's Sweet Dreams Interlude is a rare misstep for the pop princess. The sequence reduces humanity down to a sadomasochistic orgy. This is not a good message for teenagers, let alone the fact that it is a gross distortion of the dynamics of human relations. The lyrics, "some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused" is a simplistic analysis of the human psyche, stopping at a point of self-indulgent convenience, not unlike many of Marilyn Manson's songs. Anyone who wants to abuse someone else is unhealthy - obviously - and anyone who wants to be abused is unhealthy - obviously. The thing is, both the unhealthy states of mind mentioned in the interlude can be healed. Britney should be encouraging the healing of minds - not the exploitation of them.
Britney knows this deep down.

My fanaticism for Britney yielded fruit. I am a freshgirl at the University of Porto in Portugal and here we are baptized with name of praxe (a kind of receipt for freshman where we are doing things ridiculous, singing, screaming, etc..) Many have very strange names (like "ass face") that are given by doctors from the college, and you know what I have? BRITNEY! Better name could not ever have =D

The pics and video are awesome!!! Britney looks/sounds incredible! I'll be catching her show in DC (Verizon Center) on the 24th and will be Twittering/Blogging as well (though I'm WAY in the back so mine won't be as good *sniff*).

you know? i´m loosing interest 4 brit, this tour and album are just SEX, i mean only look at womanizer and if u seek amy videos (specially lst one) and what u can see is that she´s only trying to gain more fans by exposing her body, and in this tour she's only doing it to sell, not for her fans nor love to the music, and compared to the Dream Within A Dream tour, this one really SUCKS, she isn't even dancing, it looks like if she's dancing because of all the dancers that really dance around her, but i don't see her dancing.
